Theatre in the Park, a Rooftop Promotions brand, and brainchild of Daves Guzha is in its thirteenth year of existence.  Theatre in the Park was established by a young Guzha in 1995, with the idea of giving community theatre practitioners equal opportunity to showcase their works.  Hundreds of plays have since been produced at this venue, and plays that would otherwise never be seen in Zimbabwe, from Zimbabwe and the region have been staged in this otherwise unassuming thatch structure.

Who could possibly have imagined the impact this venue would have on theatre, both in Zimbabwe and the region? Who could have made this thatch hut the brand that it is today?

This year’s edition of  ZIMA will be hosted in the cultural hub of Zimbabwe, city of queens and kings, Bulawayo. Mark the 26th of November in your arts calendar for this  auspicious annual event.
