Playwright vows: âI Wonât Rewrite Banished Playâ |

Cont Mhlanga writer and director of “The Good President” - political satire banished by police in Bulawayo mid June will not rewrite the play which he vows will resume at all cost in September. Police stormed Bulawayo Theatre and ordered the play to stop saying it was a political gathering that contravened the Public Order and Security Act. Mhlanga and the producer of the play Daves Guzha immediately applied for an urgent order with the High Court seeking the court to stop the police from interfering with the production. |
