Thomas Deve, the Chairman for the Zimbabwe Music Awards Adjudication Board announced the full list of the ZIMA Awards 2007 nominees before a full house of arts journalists spanning radio, television, magazines and newspapers on the 7th of November 2007. 

Cont Mhlanga writer and director of “The Good President” - political satire banished by police in Bulawayo mid June will not rewrite the play which he vows will resume at all cost in September.  Police stormed Bulawayo Theatre and ordered the play to stop saying it was a political gathering that contravened the Public Order and Security Act. Mhlanga and the producer of the play Daves Guzha immediately applied for an urgent order with the High Court seeking the court to stop the police from interfering with the production.
